What is corrective chiropractic care?
Unlike regular chiropractic which focuses on immediate pain relief, corrective chiropractic focuses on permanent pain relief through highly advanced chiropractic protocols involving spinal correction and spinal restoration. This structural approach ensures the spine is fundamentally corrected, allowing patients to experience a much more effective and lasting pain relief experience.
Corrective chiropractic is based on a highly scientific, physiological, and anatomical set of philosophies and research which is used to not only pinpoint the cause of pain, but more importantly, address and treat the area of concern utilizing the most advanced and customized treatment plans.
What to Expect from our chiropractor?
We start with a scientifically-based examination of your posture, spinal alignment, and function – often Dr. DeMey starts with a thorough scientific examination in determining postural abnormalities, spinal misalignments, and function through digital x-rays and other imaging technologies. Once he is able to identify the root cause of pain, he is able to develop a complete care plan system tailored to each patients’ unique needs. This plan may include chiropractic adjustments, spinal remodeling programs, traction, decompression, and exercises, all geared to work in unison to reshape a misaligned spine back into its normal curvature.
How is corrective care different from other modalities?
As previously mentioned, unlike regular chiropractic care which mainly focuses on immediate pain relief, corrective care focuses on fixing the root cause of pain through a much more in-depth and methodical spinal correction approach.
As a result of this foundational change, patients are not only benefiting from a significant reduction in back pain, neck pain, and migraines but reporting other health benefits. These improvements include the elimination of acid reflux or GERD, noticeable improvements in blood pressure levels, a significant reduction in allergies, improvement with asthma, decrease in fatigue, and even reduction in heart palpitations just to name a few.
How is this possible? Similar to a kink in a garden hose that diminishes water from flowing properly, a spinal misalignment or other spinal deformities prevent optimal nerve flow from the brain, through the spinal cord, and out to the critical organs.
Once this “kink” is corrected, organs can once again begin to receive proper nerve flow energy, allowing the body’s systems, such as the cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, sexual, and immunity to function optimally, the way they were designed to.
